SoftType: Part
Represents a specification for either a physical product or for a non-countable material that is being designed and manufactured.

A part may specify a single piece part, an assembly of arbitrary complexity, a raw material, or a tool.

A part may have one or more versions.

A part is collector of definitional information of all versions of a physical product.

A part is not an actual physical object that is or was existing in the real world.

alternateParts [0..*] : Part
A set of references to other parts that are alternatives to this part. I.e the referenced part is interchangeable with this part as it has the same fit form and function.
approval [0..1] : ApprovalReference
The approval of the part
children [0..*] : PartAssembly
The set of hierarchical relationships that relate the assembly object to its component part views.
coReadersGeometryView [0..*] : ObjectId
The set of internal ShareAspace keys identifying participants that have currently read only access to the object's common definition via a share pack.
countryOfOrigin [0..1] : CountryOfOrigin
A code according to ISO 3166 that identifies the country of origin
createdByOrganization [0..1] : OrganizationReference
The organization that created the part version.
createdByPerson [0..1] : PersonReference
The person that created the part version.
dateCreated [0..1] : DateTimeAssignment
The date and time on which the part version was created.
dateReleased [0..1] : DateTimeAssignment
The date and time on which the part version was issued or published. Typically this is when the part is formally completed and deemed fit for use.
derivedFromParts [0..*] : Part
The set of parts from which this part has been derived.
description [0..1] : String
A text based description of the part.
documents [0..*] : SupportingDocument
The set of supporting documentation for the part.
exportControlCodes [0..*] : ExportControlCode
A set of codes that identify a categorization of items based on the nature of the product, i.e. type of commodity, software, or technology and its respective technical parameters for export control purposes. The codes are typically defined by a countries export control authority. Hence a country is associated with the code. So for ITAR ECCN code the country would be US. It is also the case that the organization exporting material may have a different view on the categorization to the organization importing it and integrating the material into a higher assembly. Hence an import or export qualifier is used to differentiate between the two codes.
exportControlled [0..1] : ExportControlConstraint
An indication as to whether the part is subject to export control regulations. If so, it "may" have a ECCN specified and "may" be subject to an explicit export licence.
files [0..*] : DigitalFile
The set of files that are managed by the part.
geometryChildren [0..*] : GeometryStructure
The set of hierarchical relationships that define a geometrical relationship of the part to its constituent parts.
geometryFile [0..1] : GeometryFile
The file that provides a geometrical representation of the part.
geometryModelName [0..1] : String
The name of the geometrical model that provides a representation of the part.
geometryView [0..1] : GeometryView
The type of geometrical model associated with the part. For example: 2D or 3D.
intellectualPropertyConstraint [0..1] : IntellectualPropertyRightConstraint
An indication as to whether the part is subject to any intellectual property rights that might need to be considered when sharing the information.
intellectualPropertyOwners [0..*] : OrganizationReference
The organizations that own the intellectual property for the part.
keyValues [0..*] : KeyValue
A set of user defined name and strings value pairs. Note that these name value pairs are not indexed and therefor cannot be searched for.
makeOrBuy [0..1] : PurchaseStrategyType
The purchasing strategy for the part. Either make it or buy it.
manufacturers [0..*] : ManufacturerReference
the organization that manufacturers the part.
name [0..1] : String
The name of the part is a human readable label used to refer to the part. The name is not an identifier and so does not uniquely identify a part in ShareAspace.
nsn [0..1] : NATOStockItem
The NATO Stock Number, i.e. the NATO reference of the part.
numericalProperties [0..*] : NumericalPropertyValue
A set of numerical properties of the part.
originCommonDef [0..1] : OriginatingSystem
The origin of the common definition of the part. If an origin is provided then the system representing the origin is the "master" system and the common definition can only be updated via an input from that system. If no origin is provided, the origin is assumed to be ShareAspace and the common definition can be edited in ShareAspace.
originGeometryView [0..1] : OriginatingSystem
The origin of the geometry definition of the part. If an origin is provided then the system representing the origin is the "master" system and the geometry definition can only be updated via an input from that system. If no origin is provided, the origin is assumed to be ShareAspace and the geometry definition can be edited in ShareAspace.
originMaster [0..1] : OriginatingSystem
The origin of the part. If an origin is provided then the system representing the origin is the "master" system and the part can only be updated via an input from that system. If no origin is provided, the origin is assumed to be ShareAspace and the part can be edited in ShareAspace.
originPrivateDef [0..1] : OriginatingSystem
The origin of the private definition of the part. If an origin is provided then the system representing the origin is the "master" system and the private definition can only be updated via an input from that system. If no origin is provided, the origin is assumed to be ShareAspace and the private definition can be edited in ShareAspace.
originShareableDef [0..1] : OriginatingSystem
The origin of the shareable definition of the part. If an origin is provided then the system representing the origin is the "master" system and the shareable definition can only be updated via an input from that system. If no origin is provided, the origin is assumed to be ShareAspace and the shareable definition can be edited in ShareAspace.
ownerGeometryView [0..1] : ObjectId
The internal ShareAspace key of the participant owning the object's geometry definition.
owningHistoryGeometryView [0..*] : OwnershipHistory
The set of historical records of the ownership of the object's geometry definition.
partNumber [1] : PartNumber
The part number identifier for the part. The combination of the part number and the manufacturing organization that allocates the part number provides an unambiguous reference to the part in ShareAspace.
partReferences [0..*] : RelatedPart
A set of references to other parts.
partTextReference [0..1] : String
A text string used to record an informal part number. It is informative and serves no role in the identification of the part in ShareAspace.
privateFiles [0..*] : DigitalFile
The set of files that are managed by the part and are not to be shared.
releasedByOrganization [0..1] : OrganizationReference
The organization that is responsible for making the document version available. I.e.publishing or releasing the document version.

securityClassifications [0..*] : GenericSecurityClassification
The set of security data classification levels for the Part.
sharedFiles [0..*] : DigitalFile
The set of files that are managed by the part and can be shared. The files need to be shared separately to the sharing of the part.
sharingHistoryGeometryView [0..*] : SharingHistory
The set of historical records of the sharing and unsharing of the object's information stored on the geometry definition.
status [0..1] : PartStatus
The status of the part where the status represents the state, or stage within a process, of the part at a particular time.
stringProperties [0..*] : StringPropertyValue
A set of string based properties of the part.
supplierIdentifiers [0..*] : SupplierIdentifier
The set of identifiers that uniquely identify the part where the identifier is unique in the context of the supplier's organization.

The category of the part.
versionId [1] : String
An identifier for a version of the part. Note that the identifier string provides an unambiguous reference to one version of the part in ShareAspace.
compliant [1] : Boolean
A flag indicating if the Unit of Information is valid in regards to the SoftType data section and rules.
coOwners [0..*] : ObjectId
The list of internal ShareAspace key of Participants that have currently read write access to the object via a share pack.
coOwnersCommonDef [0..*] : ObjectId
The set of internal ShareAspace keys identifying participants that have currently read write access to the object's common definition via a share pack.
coOwnersGeometryView [0..*] : ObjectId
The set of internal ShareAspace keys identifying participants that have currently read write access to the object's geometry definition via a share pack.

The last user that updated the Unit of Information in the ShareAspace store.
